Tuesday Tunes Brings Local Favorites to the Stage

Local favorite Matt Finders is pictured above leading a youth concert in the Bankhead Theater lobby earlier this year. “Matt Finders & Friends” and “Element 116” will highlight the June 17 “Tuesday Tunes” on the Shea Homes Stage next to the Bankhead Theater. Productions of the Livermore Cultural Arts Council, these 6:45 p.m. concerts run through Aug. 26. Finders spent 17 years with Jay Leno’s Tonight Show band. Raised in Livermore, he has given back to the community by founding and directing both “Element 116,” an exceptional Livermore schools-based jazz band, and the Jazz Labb music camps. “Matt Finders & Friends” is a professional group: Finders on bass, saxophonist Noel Catura, guitarist John Whitney, drummer Kelly Fasman, keyboardist John Burr and vocalist Karen Marguth.
