Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery program to hold community briefing in North Sioux City
NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. (KTIV) - City leaders reminded residents at the city Commissioner’s meeting Monday night of a community briefing scheduled for May 21st.
The state of South Dakota is getting $15 million in long-term recovery funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The funds are provided through the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery program.
This is all in an effort to help with the recovery from severe storms, winds, and flooding South Dakota saw in 2024.
On Wednesday, North Sioux City residents will get a chance to learn more about the federal disaster relief funding, including how funds can be used, the rules and regulations, and have an opportunity to ask questions.
That will happen on Wednesday, May 21st, at North Sioux City City Hall, from 5:30 to 6:30 P.M.
