What began as a police response to a violent robbery took an unexpected turn when the victim was identified as the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant.
On Monday evening, police in Luxembourg City were called to Place de la Gare following reports of an injured individual.
Initial investigations suggest the victim was assaulted by three assailants, who stole a mobile phone, bank card, and cash before fleeing the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.
However, upon verifying the individual's identity, officers discovered an outstanding arrest warrant issued against them. After medical clearance, the person was transferred under police guard to Uerschterhaff prison in Sanem.
Authorities continue to search for the three suspects, but no arrests have been made as of yet.
