ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Monroe County Office of Public Safety and Ontario County Sheriff’s Office advised Verizon Wireless customers of phone call problems on Saturday.

According to both offices, Monroe and Ontario County were having problems receiving 911 and administrative calls from Verizon Wireless customers. MCPS is advising residents who experience this issue to hang-up and try re-dialing. Monroe County officials added that
residents can try text-to-911 or try the direct dial line 585-428-6666.

OCSO Deputies have informed us that as of 11 p.m., the issue has been resolved in Ontario County.
